About
John Corlis is a Los Angeles-based composer specializing in film, television and advertising. His work spans feature films, documentaries, television and national commercial campaigns for Abbott (PediaSure, Pedialyte, Similac, Juven) and BD (PureWick).
His feature-film score for Demba premiered at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in the Encounters section and was selected as Senegal’s official submission for the Academy Awards. His music has also appeared in projects distributed through Starz, VH1 and Miramax.
John’s music combines cinematic storytelling with a strong melodic sensibility, whether scoring an intimate character drama, a television series, a commercial campaign or a memorable theme.
A graduate of the Media Composition program at California State University, Northridge, John is also a songwriter whose work includes recordings by Jack Sheldon and co-writes with Grammy-nominated producers.
